Facilitator profile
Joshua Strange
Joshua Strange works as senior editor at the award-winning San Quentin News and participates in numerous rehabilitative groups. He became passionate about creating solutions in high school when he cofounded a nonprofit focused on wilderness therapy. Unlike many incarcerated people, Mr. Strange had a successful professional career prior to his incarceration. Being a son to academics, he has a lifelong love of learning and is now pursuing an MBA through correspondence. Given his diverse background, he brings unique insights to the problems of prison and complementary strengths to our team. As a big believer in restorative justice and upstream interventions, Mr. Strange hopes to help make amends for his mistakes by working on crime prevention and harm reduction after his release to prison. In addition to facilitating rehabilitative programs, he enjoys playing basketball and finds freedom through long-distance running.
